Description / Services
Our alying ambulance service was initiated on September 26, 1993 in Rostock, under the auspices of the then-Prime Minister of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
The doctors who accompany these flights are primarily anesthesiologists provided by Klinikum Südstadt Rostock. A neonatologist accompanies flights when infants are transported.
The hospital has its own helicopter hangar and landing pad that are on call at all times, so flights can take off whenever they are needed.
The service has safely transported thousands of patients. Most of the flights are "secondary missions" between hospitals in the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, but flights can be absolved throughout Germany.
