Here in Mallorca, rotorflug helicopters SL can offer not only trial lessons but also complete training for a private helicopter pilot's licence (PHPL) and refresher courses for those who already have a helicopter pilot's licence. At your side will be our dependable, experienced pilots, real professionals with a passion for their work and great ability to impart their knowledge. Trial lessons - fasten your seatbelt

Make that dream of flying yourself come true! Our trial courses start with the most important rules with regard to flying helicopters. One of our pilots takes you through the theoretical and practical basics and then it's time to fasten your seatbelt. For the next 30 minutes, you'll be at the controls of a real helicopter with your flight instructor. After take-off, those who wish to can try their hand and find out what it's like to fly a helicopter. Find out how sensitive the helicopter is to your inputs. An exceptional experience that can lead to a lifelong passion. Of course all of our trial pilots receive a certificate of participation after the course.

For trial lessons we generally accept only one person + flight instructor on board.

Refresher courses - theory and practise

You're a pilot and want to refresh your knowledge and abilities or extend them in particular areas? We can help: We offer more than just dry theory. Our refresher courses include several hours of practical flight training and clearly presented theory on the ground. Generally the courses last two to three days - just perfect for a helicopter weekend on Mallorca. If you wish, we will be happy to help with reserving accommodation and rental cars at special rates.

  • Autorotation & Engine Off Landings
    Train the most important emergency procedure for helicopter pilots.

  • Emergency Procedures
    More emergency training such as Hydraulic off, Governor off, pedal stuck etc.

  • Confined Areas
    Right choice of landing sites, approaches and departures to/from "real-life"-landing sites.

  • Navigation & Airport Procedures
    Navigation without GPS-system, training of correct procedures when flying in/out of an international airport.

  • Limited Power
    Weight, temperature, altitude, humidity - all factors that affect helicopter performance. How do I plan my trip properly and how do I act, when I reach the machine's limits? Our experienced instructors will show you, how to become aware of and manage critical situations.

  • Mountain Flying
    Mountain flying is challenging for every pilot. It needs experience and the right touch. What's important? Where's the wind? And: How to avoid the most common mistakes? Practise your skills in Mallorca's impressing Tramuntana mountains.
